About

The aim of the Centre is to stimulate and pursue research within theoretical physics. The Centre has seven permanent academic staff members conducting research in mathematical physics, chaos, condensed matter physics, quantum field theory, quantum gravity and string theory. The centre provides a healthy and vibrant research environment with active seminar series and visitor programs. The Centre is distinct from, but closely allied to the School of Physics, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
