This meeting is held jointly by Wits and Brown Universities, with support from the National Institute for Theoretical Physics.

Format: We plan to structure the meeting with morning sessions of a more pedagogical or review nature, with lectures by invited speakers. The afternoon will be reserved for several research seminars by the participants. The workshop will be preceded by a pre-workshop aimed at postgraduate students.

We also hope to use the meeting as an opportunity to formally announce the naming of the Centre for Theoretical Physics after Stanley Mandelstam, a Wits graduate.
