The Mandelstam Institute for Theoretical Physics holds workshops and schools several times a year. The aim of the 13th Joburg School in Theoretical Physics is to introduce our local community to a variety of exciting recent developments in string theory with broader applications. These include:

  • Generalized Symmetries in QFT
  • The Swampland Program
  • Complexity and Cosmology
  • Holography from the Lattice

  • Daniel Brennan (UC San Diego)
  • José Calderón-Infante (CERN)
  • Shajid Haque (Univ. of Cape Town)
  • Anosh Joseph (Wits)
